Winter 2025 Cohort meets Sundays 9-11am EST via Zoom. Dates are Feb 2, 2025-August 3, 2025.

The Mothership 6 Month Apprenticeship / Training Program will help you generate a vibrant, professional practice. Learn everything you need to be a full-spectrum doula, leader, and advocate in the birth community, along with the practical skills of running your own business.

This is your opportunity to be trained, mentored, supported through your births - be primary doula, co-doula and back-up doula through our referral network!

*Must be available Sunday mornings for the learning circle.

Want to be certified by The Mothership? 

Goals of The Mothership Apprentice Doula Upon Completion:

• Effectively be able to give support to individuals and families in any reproductive health choices as it pertains to childbirth.
• Effectively be able to assist in advocating on an individual's rights and autonomy while receiving reproductive health care services in any setting such as hospital, home birth, and clinic to promote informed consent.
• Effectively be able to work within the intersections of care and provide resources as necessary
• Effectively be able to start a business.

Requirements for Certification Track:

• Attend a Minimum of 3 Births / Postpartum / and/or Abortion Care
• Submit a summary for each service rendered
• Obtain a Current Infant & Child CPR card w/ AED
• Pass all quizzes with 80% Grade
• Final Project
• Build Your Own Business Plan
• Build Your Own Resource List
